Tamron announced three prime lenses for Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras at Photo Plus 2019. These Tamron FE Prime lenses comprise of 20mm, 24mm, and 35mm. All of these lenses are f/2.8 wide-angle primes but offer minimum focus distance less than 6″. This gives you the option to reach closer to your subject without any blur even with a wide-angle of view.
- Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 Lens for Sony E
- Tamron 24mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 Lens for Sony E
- Tamron 35mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 Lens for Sony E
Since these lenses are made for Sony FE, they support Sony camera focusing features like Fast Hybrid Autofocus as well as Eye Autofocus. Tamron uses fluorine coating in these E-Mount lenses to ensure extra protection. The construction is also moisture resistant. This helps the lens to perform well under harsh conditions.
These Tamron Full Frame lenses support OSD (Optimized Silent Drive) stepping motor which helps in fast and quite lens operations. For nice looking bokeh, they use 7 blade diaphragm. These lenses are compact and they are not heavy which is a big plus. A 67mm filter thread is used in all these FE lenses so you can share and swap filters.
