Fotodiox unveils Canon EF to Leica L-Mount Pro Fusion Adapter

Fotodiox just introduced its latest Pro Fusion, Smart AF adapter that mounts Canon EOS (EF / EF-S) DSLR lenses to Leica L-Mount (T-Mount) mirrorless cameras. Supporting built-in FUSION technology, this adapter enables the transmission of electronic data between camera and lens. The new Fotodiox Fusion EF to L mount adapter now comes with a micro USB port for firmware upgrades.

All-Metal Construction

Just like other Fotodiox Pro adapters, the new EF to L mount variant also features all-metal construction. Its chrome-plated brass mounts ensure maximum endurance and secure connection for both camera and the lens.

FUSION Technology

With the help of FUSION technology, this Fotodiox adapter transmits electronic information such as autofocus, aperture, image stabilization, & other EXIF data between Leica L-mount (T-mount) mirrorless cameras and Canon EOS (EF / EF-S) DSLR lenses.

Due to the difference in lens focusing motors, firmware, etc, the performance among different lenses will vary with this adapter. Note that this adapter may not support autofocus with older Canon and some third-party (Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina) lenses.

USB Port for Firmware Upgrades

Along with all the Fotodiox Fusion series adapters, the newer model now comes with a micro USB port for firmware update purposes.

Function Button

Although the adapter supports electronic communication between camera and lenses, it also features a function button that cuts off the electronics communication. This helps photographers and videographers to properly operate manual lenses on the Leica L-mount mirrorless cameras.
