Differences | Aputure LS 300X vs C300D II
Brightness / Output Intensity
Aputure LS 300X features a bi-colored COB LED, it provides a lesser light intensity than the fixed color LS C300D II. However, this does not mean that C300D II is superior to 300X. They have very different purposes altogether.
If you want to shoot with multiple color temperatures, Aputure LS 300X will be your best buy. Going with an LED with variable color temperature is always convenient as it reduces the time to change LEDs of different color temperatures. Moreover, it reduces the need for gels. Aputure LS C300D Mark II, on the other hand, offers a brighter light output than LS 300X but does not offer a variable color temperature.
